Renting the Ford Taurus

Here is the Ford Taurus from the angle of someone searching for Turo alternative. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Engine and fuel

No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.

Who rents the Taurus

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

What the Taurus is like

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with.

Can you rent one?

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.

How to book

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Driver requirements

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

When you know your dates

Can I rent a Ford Taurus in Toronto?

Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.

How old do I need to be to rent?

18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.

How much is the deposit?

Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.

What coverage do I need?

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.

Can the car be delivered?

Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
