Turo alternative: the 1997 Geo Tracker
Turo alternative and the 1997 Geo Tracker: the figures first, then how to rent it from CarmaCars. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
What the specs mean
Its 1.6L 4-cylinder drives through a 5-speed manual. It runs on regular gas. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.
Rated at 10.7 L/100 km combined, it needs around 32 litres for a 300 km round trip. At our price setting, it costs about $16.59 to drive 100 km.
Who the Tracker suits
It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country.
Size and space
As a van, it puts space for people and luggage first.

What you need to rent
From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
How renting with us works
You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
