Turo alternative: GMC DS

Turo alternative and the GMC DS

The GMC DS is on this page for Turo alternative: here is what to know before you request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Specs, explained

No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.

Who rents the DS

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Practical details

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk.

Renting the DS from CarmaCars

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.

What we check

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

The steps

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Pick a car, send a request, and decide once you see the offer.
