Renting the GMC EV1
For a rental car, the GMC EV1 could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Specs, explained
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
Inside and out
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo.
When the EV1 makes sense
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
Renting the EV1 from CarmaCars
There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Booking in plain terms
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.
Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
What to bring
Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
Make a request
Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.

Can I rent a GMC EV1 in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
