Renting the 2000 Lexus ES as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Engine and fuel
The 3.0L 6-cylinder with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Fuel use is rated 11.8 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 35 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $54.87 at our price setting.
Practical details
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The trunk holds 368 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who it is for
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

What to expect when you book
First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.
Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
Renting: the basics
Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
