Turo alternative with this car
For a rental car, the 2012 Lexus HS is one of many cars on CarmaCars, each with its own page. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Under the hood
Its 2.4L 4-cylinder hybrid drives through an automatic (CVT). As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
It is rated 6.9 L/100 km combined: about 21 litres every 300 km. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $10.70.
What to expect from the HS
A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. For luggage, 340 litres means about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who it is for
It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
Renting this car
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Requirements
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
How booking works
You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
Over to you
If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.
