Turo alternative with this car
Turo alternative: the 2002 Lexus SC. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
The figures, translated
The powertrain to know here is the 4.3L 8-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
By the EPA's combined rating of 13.1 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 39 litres. That works out to about $22.93 per 100 km at our price setting.
The SC in everyday use
As a sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second. Luggage space is 255 litres, enough for about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Best uses
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

The steps
Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.
Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.
The rules, briefly
From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
Ready when you are
Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
