Turo alternative and the 2012 Mazda 5
For a rental car, the 2012 Mazda 5 could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Engine and fuel
The 2.5L 4-cylinder does the work, through a 6-speed manual. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
The EPA rates it at 9.8 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 29 litres. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $45.57 at our price setting.
Room inside
A tall roof and wide doors make it easy to load people and bags.
Who the 5 suits
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Your request, our offer, your keys
Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.
Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
Rules for renters
Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.
Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
Still deciding?
When you have your dates, send a request. It is free, and the offer shows the full price.
