Turo alternative: Mercury

Turo alternative with this car

If you need a rental car, read about the Mercury here, then request it. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Reading the spec sheet

No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.

A good match for

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Getting one from us

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have no Mercury on the site right now. Send a request with the model you want, and we look for one for your dates. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.

The rules, briefly

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

Booking, step by step

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
