Turo alternative: blue 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie in Java

Turo alternative and the 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie

Renting the 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Java and the 1500

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Selby, Lowry and Sitka are the closest places to Java on our list.

The figures, translated

The powertrain here is the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo with rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It runs on diesel, sold at most highway stations. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

Fuel use is rated 9.0 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 27 litres. Every 100 km costs about $13.95 in fuel at our price setting.

Size and space

As a pickup truck, it has an open bed for things that would never fit in a trunk.

When the 1500 makes sense

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

In our fleet

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you.

Booking with CarmaCars

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Before pickup

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
