Turo alternative: Rivian

Renting the Rivian

For a rental car, here is what the Rivian brings, and how to request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

The figures, translated

The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.

Best uses

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Can you rent one?

We have no Rivian on the site right now. Send a request with the model you want, and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.

What to bring

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

The steps

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

One more step

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
