The Subaru Outback: Turo alternative
Turo alternative and the Subaru Outback: the figures first, then how to rent it from CarmaCars. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Under the hood
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
Space, size and seats
An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.
In our fleet
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Before you rent
If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
What to expect when you book
First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.
Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
Let us know
When you have your dates, send a request. It is free, and the offer shows the full price.

Can I rent a Subaru Outback in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
