Specs, explained

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Plan on about 25 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $38.61 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Practical details

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can I rent it?

Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

Before pickup

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

From your dates to the handover

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
