Specs, explained

Under the hood: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Expect about 25 litres for every 300 km, going by its 8.3 L/100 km combined rating. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $128.70.

Size and space

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. EPA lists 340 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who it is for

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Can I rent it?

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

What to have ready

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

How it works

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.
