Uber Eats car rental and the 2012 Ford Flex
For a car for rideshare or delivery work, here is what the 2012 Ford Flex brings, and how to request one. Each platform sets its own vehicle rules, by city and model year; check them before you book. Tell us in your request that the car is for app work.
The figures, translated
It is powered by the 3.5L 6-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
It is rated at 12.1 L/100 km combined, so budget about 36 litres for 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $56.28 at our price setting.
The Flex in everyday use
An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Can I rent it?
None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Booking in plain terms
To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
What we check
If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.
Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
When you know your dates
Not sure which car? Describe the trip in your request and we will suggest one.
