Reading the spec sheet

It uses the 2.5L 4-cylinder and all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

The EPA rates it at 8.2 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 25 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $38.13 at our price setting.

What to expect from the Forester

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Getting this car from us

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

The booking steps

The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

What we ask of drivers

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
