Van rental: orange 2021 Ford Escape S in Java

Van rental and the 2021 Ford Escape S

Here is the 2021 Ford Escape S, for anyone after a van or a seven-seat car. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

The Escape and Java

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,072 km away.

If you are near Java, Tara Village, South Side and Howe are close too.

Specs, explained

The powertrain to know here is the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

A combined rating of 7.8 L/100 km works out to about 23 litres per 300 km. Driving 300 km costs roughly $36.27 at our price setting.

Space, size and seats

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

When the Escape makes sense

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Can you rent one?

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner.

How it works

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Who qualifies

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
