Rules for renters

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

How booking works

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
