Van rental and the 2003 Mazda MPV

Van rental and the 2003 Mazda MPV: the figures first, then how to rent it from CarmaCars. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

Under the hood

The powertrain to know here is the 3.0L 6-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

It is rated at 13.1 L/100 km combined, so budget about 39 litres for 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $60.93 in energy at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Inside and out

Being a minivan, it carries people and their bags without fuss.

Renting the MPV from CarmaCars

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

Booking made plain

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

Driver requirements

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
