Van rental: the 2012 MINI Cooper
Searching for van rental? Here is the 2012 MINI Cooper: what it is like and how to rent it. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.
The figures, translated
It runs the 1.6L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
The EPA rates it at 7.6 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 23 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $39.90 at our price setting.
Who the Cooper suits
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
How big it is
As a sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second. Luggage space is 170 litres, enough for about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Can you rent one?
If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.
Requesting a car
A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.
You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.
What we ask of drivers
Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.
