Van rental: the 2021 Nissan Sentra SV

Van rental: the 2021 Nissan Sentra SV. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

Java and the Sentra

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,639 km from Java, and does not deliver there. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

Around Java you will also find Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

The figures, translated

The 2.0L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

A combined rating of 7.1 L/100 km works out to about 21 litres per 300 km. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $11.01.

When the Sentra makes sense

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

Size and space

Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Its 396 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

How booking works

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

Rules for renters

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

Make a request

A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
