Renting for Java

Java is about 3,178 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Also close to Java: Klinefelter, Ibis and Arrowhead Junction.

Engine and fuel

It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

At 8.6 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 26 litres of fuel. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $15.05, and a 300 km weekend about $45.15.

Who rents the A4

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

What the A4 is like

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. EPA lists 368 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Booking in plain terms

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.

Who can rent

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
