Vehicle rental: 2021 Tesla Model 3 Performance in Java

Renting the 2021 Tesla Model 3 Performance

Want to know if the 2021 Tesla Model 3 Performance suits a rental car? Read on. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

The Model 3 and Java

Java is about 1,474 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Next door to Java are New Hope, Roeton and Frisco.

Engine and fuel

Its powertrain is the electric motor with all-wheel drive. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It uses 18.6 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 56 kWh of charge. On paper it goes 507 km between charges, less in winter. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $2.79, and a 300 km weekend about $8.37.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Inside and out

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. For luggage, 425 litres means a family's bags for a long weekend.

In our fleet

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car.

How a booking comes together

The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Renting: the basics

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
