Arranging the work for the M
For a wheel alignment on the 1992 BMW M, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Hitting a pothole hard can knock the wheels out of line.
Your M and the shop
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Its powertrain is the 3.5L 6-cylinder with rear-wheel drive.
What to send us
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. You agree everything with the shop before work begins. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
Good habits for your car
Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
Send a request
Start with a short request; a person replies within one business day.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
