Arranging the work for the CF8000
The 1982 Ford CF8000 and a wheel alignment: CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop, and never does the work itself. A crooked steering wheel on a straight road is a common sign the alignment is off.
Details the shop needs
If you have the service history of your CF8000, have it ready for the shop. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
Our part and the shop's part
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
Driving while yours is at the shop
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
Good habits for your car
Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
What to ask
Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
When you know your dates
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
