Arranging the work for the Escort
For a wheel alignment on the 1982 Ford Escort, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. An alignment keeps the car driving straight and the tires wearing evenly.
Your car, your notes
Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the Escort. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
What CarmaCars does here
Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. You agree everything with the shop before work begins. We keep you posted until the car is booked in.
Your rental while you wait
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Car care, briefly
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
Ready when you are
Describe the problem, and we arrange a trusted shop.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
