The 1982 Ford LS8000: Wheel alignment
Wheel alignment for your 1982 Ford LS8000: arranged with a trusted shop, never done by CarmaCars, with a rental if you need one. A crooked steering wheel on a straight road is a common sign the alignment is off.
Your LS8000 and the shop
Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the LS8000. If you have the service history of your LS8000, have it ready for the shop. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
What to send us
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
A car while yours is in the shop
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Good habits for your car
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
Questions to ask the shop
If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
One more step
Start with a short request; a person replies within one business day.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
