Wheel alignment: how we help
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For a wheel alignment on the 1982 Ford LT9501, we connect you with a trusted shop. A crooked steering wheel on a straight road is a common sign the alignment is off.
Your LT9501 and the shop
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. If you have the service history of your LT9501, have it ready for the shop.
How the arrangement works
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name.
Your rental while you wait
Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
What to ask
Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
Between shop visits
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
Let us know
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
