Arranging the work for the DK
Need a wheel alignment for the 1989 GMC DK? We arrange it with a trusted shop; the work is never done by CarmaCars. A crooked steering wheel on a straight road is a common sign the alignment is off.
Your car, your notes
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the DK.
Who does what
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
Stay on the road
We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. We collect the rental when your car is back. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
What to ask
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Good habits for your car
Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
