Arranging the work for the FE
For a wheel alignment on the 1986 GMC FE, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. An alignment keeps the car driving straight and the tires wearing evenly.
Details the shop needs
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the FE. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
Our part and the shop's part
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
Keep moving meanwhile
We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Getting a clear quote
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.
Between shop visits
Check that all lights work every few weeks. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.
Make a request
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
