Wheel alignment for the 1987 GMC FE
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For a wheel alignment on the 1987 GMC FE, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. Hitting a pothole hard can knock the wheels out of line.
Your FE and the shop
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
How the arrangement works
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
A car while yours is in the shop
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. We collect the rental when your car is back. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
Good habits for your car
Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
A short checklist
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
Get an offer
Send a request: the car, the problem and when suits you.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
