Arranging the work for the FE
Need a wheel alignment for your 1990 GMC FE? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it with a trusted shop and keep you driving meanwhile. A crooked steering wheel on a straight road is a common sign the alignment is off.
Details the shop needs
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the FE. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
From request to repair
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
A car while yours is in the shop
We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
What to ask
Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
Good habits for your car
Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.

Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
