Arranging the work for the Value Van
For a wheel alignment on the 1993 GMC Value Van, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Hitting a pothole hard can knock the wheels out of line.
Details the shop needs
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts.
Our part and the shop's part
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name.
A car meanwhile
Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
A short checklist
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
Good habits for your car
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can.
When you know your dates
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
