Your car, your notes
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
How the request works
Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
A car meanwhile
Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Talking to the shop
Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.
Between shop visits
Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.
