The 1986 GMC WHEB: Wheel alignment
For a wheel alignment on your 1986 GMC WHEB, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Hitting a pothole hard can knock the wheels out of line.
Your WHEB and the shop
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the WHEB. If you have the service history of your WHEB, have it ready for the shop.
How the arrangement works
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. The rental is priced like any other on our site. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Small things that help
Look at the tire tread before long trips. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
Talking to the shop
Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
