Wheel alignment: how we help
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a wheel alignment on the 1986 Mercury Sable we arrange a trusted shop. A crooked steering wheel on a straight road is a common sign the alignment is off.
About your Sable
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Its powertrain is the 2.5L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive.
Our part and the shop's part
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
Driving while yours is at the shop
We collect the rental when your car is back. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Car care, briefly
Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
Still deciding?
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
