Details the shop needs
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
What CarmaCars does here
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
Stay on the road
Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Questions to ask the shop
If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Car care, briefly
Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
Talk to a person
Send a request with the car and what it needs, and a person replies within one business day.
