Arranging the work for the VHD
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a wheel alignment on the 2004 Volvo VHD we arrange a trusted shop. An alignment keeps the car driving straight and the tires wearing evenly.
Before the shop sees your VHD
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
From request to repair
We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.
What to ask
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate.
Between shop visits
Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
When you know your dates
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
