The AM General: Winter tires
For a winter tire change on the AM General, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. Swapping to winter tires in fall and back in spring is the usual routine.
Details the shop needs
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Tell the shop the tire size printed on the sidewall; it differs by trim. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
What we arrange
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
What to ask
Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Good habits for your car
If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
Want a price?
Send a request with the car and what it needs, and a person replies within one business day.
