Arranging the work for the i3
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For a winter tire change on the BMW i3, we connect you with a trusted shop. Tread depth matters for grip in rain and snow; the shop measures it.
Your i3 and the shop
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Tell the shop the tire size printed on the sidewall; it differs by trim. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
What we arrange
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
Stay on the road
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
Getting a clear quote
Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Small things that help
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can.
Ready to ask?
Ask, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request winter tires
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
