Winter tires: how we help
For a winter tire change on the Dodge Avenger, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. Winter tires grip better in cold, snow and ice than all-season tires.
Before the shop sees your Avenger
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Tell the shop the tire size printed on the sidewall; it differs by trim. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
What we arrange
We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
We collect the rental when your car is back. The rental is priced like any other on our site. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Between shop visits
Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
Talk to a person
Tell us the job and the car, and a person replies.
Request winter tires
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
Rent a car while yours is in in Toronto
We have no car while yours is in on the site right now. Request one and we look for it for your dates, or take a similar car that is available now.
