CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For a winter tire change on the Geo Tracker, we connect you with a trusted shop. Winter tires grip better in cold, snow and ice than all-season tires.
Your Tracker and the shop
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
Our part and the shop's part
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
Keep moving meanwhile
We collect the rental when your car is back. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
Talking to the shop
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
Car care, briefly
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
