Arranging the work for the ES
For a winter tire change on the 2016 Lexus ES, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Winter tires are worth fitting before the first snow.
Your ES and the shop
If you have the service history of your ES, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop the tire size printed on the sidewall; it differs by trim. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Power comes from the 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid, driving through an automatic (CVT).
Our part and the shop's part
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
A rental while you wait
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Delivery starts at $75 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.
Good habits for your car
Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.
When you know your dates
Describe the problem, and we arrange a trusted shop.
Request winter tires
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
