Winter tires: how we help
The Lexus GS and a winter tire change: CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop, and never does the work itself. Tread depth matters for grip in rain and snow; the shop measures it.
Before the shop sees your GS
If you have the service history of your GS, have it ready for the shop. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
The steps
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
Your rental while you wait
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Getting a clear quote
Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
Small things that help
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
Send a request
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request winter tires
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
