If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.

Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
