Arranging the work for the Corolla

For a winter tire change on the 2016 Toyota Corolla CE, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. Tires are swapped, balanced and checked for wear, and the shop sets its own price and time.

Your car, your notes

A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Tell the shop the tire size printed on the sidewall; it differs by trim. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The 1.8L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at.

What CarmaCars does here

The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.

Small things that help

Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.
