Winter tires: how we help
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a winter tire change on the Vector we arrange a trusted shop. Winter tires grip better in cold, snow and ice than all-season tires.
Details the shop needs
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
What CarmaCars does here
You agree everything with the shop before work begins. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.
A car while yours is in the shop
Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
Talking to the shop
Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
Between shop visits
Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.
Over to you
One request: the job, the car, and whether you need a rental meanwhile.
Request winter tires
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
