Battery Boost in Dogpatch, AK

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Dogpatch is about 4,715 km away. A boost for a dead battery, by a roadside service we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A slow crank on a cold morning is often the first sign of a tired battery.

What CarmaCars does here

We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car.

Between shop visits

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.

Before the shop starts

Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
