Battery Boost in Northside, Berkeley

Getting it done

For battery service in Northside, know first that CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works in the Toronto area. What it involves: A boost for a dead battery, by a roadside service we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A battery that struggles in the cold is often near the end of its life.

How the arrangement works

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location.

Small things that help

If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.
