Arranging the work in Bald Knobs

Car Diagnostics in Bald Knobs: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

How the arrangement works

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Your request reaches a person, not a machine.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.

Between shop visits

Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
